Intentions VS goals, why they are not the same, why it is important to focus on the former, and different types of goals (Part 1)

Posted by Olena Mytruk

Not all goals are created equal.

While some will make you feel accomplished, fulfilled and empowered, others will just drain you and will actually decrease your level of self confidence and self esteem.

It is really important (and sometimes not so easy!) to know how to distinguish one from the other, and in order to do that you will want to understand what types of goals are out there. Then you can learn a lot from just looking at your goals and analyzing why you set them the way you do. And this is exactly what this episode is about.

In fact, it’s the first part of the two-part series – the second part will be released next week.

I also wanted to start this episode with a very important foundational question:

What a goal actually is, what role goals play in our life and why it is better to focus on intentions rather than goals.
