We recently asked our users about the challenges they face while working on their goals. And we identified 5 most common challenges that usually prevent us from achieving our goals.

I struggle to find ways to track my progress.
Did you know that you are 3 times more likely to achieve your goal if you write it down? Yes, 3 times!!
But writing down your goal is just the first step. You need to have a tool in place to keep track of your daily progress. It can be a journal, an app on your phone, a to-do list on your computer – find a tool that works for you.
Whatever you choose to use, remember that less is more in this case. Don’t overcomplicate things, keep it simple! The simpler it is, the more likely you are to use it!
I set too many goals and get overwhelmed.
How often do you find yourself wanting to do this, and this, oh and this as well, all at the same time?
It’s so easy to just keep adding to your list of goals. We all want to accomplish so much. But that eventually leads to overwhelm and burn out, and as a result you don’t make progress anywhere.
Let’s change that. One single goal. Try to focus on one at a time.
Start working on this goal. Make it part of your lifestyle. And then, when your goal becomes a natural part of your routine, add a new one.
Try it out, and you will be surprised with the results!
I don’t see results and get discouraged.
It’s very hard to stay motivated about something that’s far ahead. Especially if you don’t see any immediate results. And we all know what happens next – you give up.
But there is another way!
Break down your goal into smaller pieces, smaller steps.
Where do you want to be in 7 days from now? Or in a month? This is your next milestone. Focus on it rather than focusing on your big goal. Don’t let your “big” goal frighten you.
When you achieve your first milestone, reward yourself. Do something nice for yourself – because you earned it! And then set a new one – you gotta keep that momentum going!
And last but not least – always be on a lookout for the little wins! Because if you celebrate your wins consistently, you will learn to enjoy the journey! ?
I get distracted and lose focus.
Perform regular self checks.
Am I moving in the right direction? Am I making progress? Am I still passionate about this? It’s very important that you ask yourself these questions at least once a month!
And if answer to any of these questions is no, don’t be afraid to pivot, put this goal on a pause, or stop working on it completely. Life changes, our priorities change, and it’s okay to make changes along the way.
What is not okay is to keep working on something that doesn’t bring you value anymore.
I find it difficult to stay consistent.
If you ever went for a run, you probably were in a situation when you started too fast and then got tired too soon. We definitely been there!
Well, the same happens when we rush too much trying to achieve our goals.
Yeah, sometimes we just get too excited and want to get everything done fast. But let’s wait. Let’s slow down.
Remember – slow and steady wins the race. Slow consistent progress is so much better than fast inconsistent one.
Don’t push too much! Let you pace develop naturally. Ideal pace is the one that always keeps you a little bit “hungry”. Only then you will be able to sustain it long term.
